Been burning since 2016 doing regionals and I run my own camp called bacchanalia. It centers around my art project called human charcuterie where I cover volunteers in food and feed the burn. Ive always struggled with my own body image and found burns to be this great sort of confidence boost and a place to celebrate the different shapes of humans that exist. My art project combined my love of food and my love of the human form. I started spinning fire after burning for a few years but I'm not very good. I just like the whooshes. I've always felt really awkward socially. I pull it off... (I am a master of fake it to make it in social circumstances) but I'm secretly really shy and going to my first burn really felt so welcoming and I really was able to embrace the weird. When I first got to greeters people were offering hugs and saying welcome home and my first thought was "man this is weird... Welcome home? Sounds like a cult" by day two of the event it just clicked on my brain and it felt so right and I figured out why everyone was saying welcome home. These days I put a lot of time and effort into my art. When I'm not prepping for burns I like to watch YouTube and play video games.
